Royal Doulton Pretty Ladies figurines need no introduction. This one is called GWYNNETH and is one of the harder to find pieces. HN #1980, she was made for a fairly short time (for Doulton pieces) from 1945-1952. It has been discontinued and not reissued. She stands 7" and is in perfect condition. Ladies in red are irresistible!

Small, yet nicely detailed colonial couple marked MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN. He has presented her with a bouquet of flowers and she looks a bit unsure about the whole thing. Tiny hand painted flowers decorate her dress and both have gold accents. No chips or cracks.

Very pretty and detailed colonial lady with real lace for the front of her skirt. The stiffened red net is trimmed with lace border which is all intact. The rest of her skirt is hand painted with tiny flowers and she is trimmed with gold accents. She holds a flower in one hand and the other is raised in a greeting. She is marked on the bottom "H. Best" but we're not sure what that is. Although there is no JAPAN label on her, she is certainly of Japanese make. No cracks or chips on this lady.

Vintage 4" Made in Japan Colonial woman with fan held to her face and wearing a most demure expression. She is painted only on the front and has lost some of her color, perhaps due to too vigorous a cleaning. Still a pretty lady with no cracks or chips. Impressed Japan on the rear.

Terrific ceramic couple ready to hit the slopes of the White Mountains or Sun Valley in their trendy vintage ski outfits. The pieces are marked only Japan on the bottoms making them quite early..pre-war for sure. The boy figure stands 5 1/2" and his gal is 5 1/4" tall. There are no chips or cracks in either, just a small amount of paint wear on their elbows from where they have taken tumbles over the years. All hand painted, of course.

Lovely Made in Japan Ballerina figurine with extended arms and uplifted leg. Her stiff, real lace tutu is in quite good condition..no breaks. Gold slippers and bodice trim highlight this pretty lady. She has no cracks, chips or other flaws despite her very delicate posture. Original paper label "JAPAN" on bottom.

Well done, nicely detailed, 2 7/8” frosted crystal figurine of a non-Donald duck. It is acid etched “Cristal Sevres France” on the bottom but unfortunately, the camera did not pick it up very well. The Polished bottom has a little wear and the piece is absent any chips, nicks, or ‘flea bites’. An addition to an animal collection that would certainly be appreciated by any collector.
