Tisha Whitney Roger's Garden's Newport Beach Print This vintage wood framed matted print of Roger's Garden's in Newport Beach, California, is artist signed: Tisha Whitney.
Tisha Whitney combines her love for art and history as she searches the world for scenes to paint, from the highlands of Scotland to the more exotic corridors of Beijing's Forbidden City.
The natural wilderness of Capetown's rugged coast in South Africa has provided Tisha with rich material, while the ancient villages of Russia's Golden Ring have enthralled her with their history. Her subjects have been painted while on journeys to six continents as well as Italy's colorful seaports. Collectors of her originals often comment on the joy her creations bring into their homes, and the energy in her artwork.
Colorful flowers in blue, yellow, greens, brown and golds with a white gazebo in the middle surrounded by trees.

adele2845

Adele Anias Toudouze La Mode Illustree Print This vintage La Mode Illustree print, Leroy, imp. Paris, by Adele-Anias Toudouze was framed by Julias G. Haas, Est.1897, 839 Madison Avenue, New York. Adele-Anais Toudouze (Paris, 1822-1899) was one of the major artists for La Mode. She belonged to a most talented family of artists and engravers. Other family members who produced fashion plates and fine art included her mother, Alexandre-Marie Colin (1798-1873) and her daughter, Isabelle Toudouze (1872-1925). In 1845 Adele-Anais married the painter and architect, Gabriel-Auguste Toudouze. From 1860 to 1872 La Mode created some of the finest fashion plates of the era. Its engravings were larger, more detailed and much more artistically hand-colored than any of its competitors in England, France or America. By 1872, however, the high cost of publishing these original works of art, were too prohibitive, and La Mode was forced to relinquish the field to its cheaper rivals.
Printed on mid nineteenth century woven paper this hand colored print does show spotting from age which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 12 inches high and 8 3/4 inches wide.
An addition to any vintage La Mode Illustree Collection.
SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions please contact me and thank you for looking.

Godey's Americanized Paris Fashions Print-1848 This vintage Godey's Americanized Paris Fashions print is dated 1848.
Although as many as 500 periodicals were published in the United States in the early 1800s, Godey's Lady's Book, was directed solely at women although men of course read it. A. Santini Last Supper Sculpture The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is reproduced in sculpture made from carrara marble mixed with alabaster by Amilcare Santini and is signed: A. Santini with the original sticker on the bottom: Sculptor A Santini / Classic Figure / Made in Italy.
The Last Supper (Italian: Il Cenacolo or L'Ultima Cena) is a late 15th-century mural painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan. The work is presumed to have been commenced around 1495 and was commissioned as part of a scheme of renovations to the church and its convent buildings by Leonardo's patron Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan. The painting represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, as it is told in the Gospel of John, 13:21. Leonardo has depicted the consternation that occurred among the Twelve Disciples when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.
Amiloare Santini, was born in Italy, 1910, near the city of Florence in Tuscany. He became an apprentice to the sculptor Colombini at the age of twelve. He then traveled to Florence and attended the university there for four years. He was implemental of the process in combining marble, alabaster and resin. He passed away in 1975. He was one of the finest sculptors of the period, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculptures than the Santini replicas from Italy.
