Wileman Japanese Rose Snow Drop trio. Porcelain. England. c. 1898. Very striking set. Hand painted stylized flower, leaves & branches. The flowers are done in plum & rose pink enamel. The leaves are aqua, pale green & dark mustard yellow enamel. The branches are black. The ground is white. The cup is deeply fluted. The saucer & plate are deeply scalloped. Plate is approximately 7". Liquid gold edges & lining on handle. Pictured on p. 27 of "Wileman - A Collectors Guide" by Richard Knight & Susan Hill. CONDITION: Excellent (extremely difficult to see tiny crazing on cup often seen on this shape; saucer & plate ping; some wear to gold; a couple of firing marks from the manufacturer). Displays fantastically! Absolutely gorgeous trio! |
