This May, 1969 issue of The Palimpsest magazine, published by the State Historical Society of Iowa, features major articles on Iowa’s EFFIGY MOUNDS NATIONAL MONUMENT.
They were written by archeologists Wilfred Logan and John Ingmanson and detail the ‘Land of the Mound Builders,’ ‘Coming of the White Men,’ Archeological Surveys and ‘Quest for a National Park’ at the site.
There is a large photo section showing important parts of the monument site, as well as a terrific bibliography of information on Prehistoric Man in Iowa. The issue is in Very Good condition with minor corner wear on the covers and no apparent defects on inside pages. (4623)
