This is a nice 4 fold 2 foot boxwood rule with brass fittings, marked "BOXWOOD ROE MADE IN ENGLAND NO. 1167". It's in good clean solid condition with some minor dings and scratches. The is one spot on the inside at the 5 1/5 inch mark that is slightly raised, and has a hairline crack that is not on the outside. It appears the hinge extension pin pushed out slightly. This type of rule has no alignment pins from the factory, yet is very straight, and close parallel and flat. The big numbers style is often refereed to as a "BLIND MAN'S" rule as they are 3/8" high. A real nice rule overall! I have never seen another like it! |
