This is a very nice, fancy turned handle, hardwood mallet! Made from apple-wood or similar tight grained wood, it has a 2.5" diameter. The handle passed through the head, and is 11.00" long, and very firmly attached to the head. As you can see, the mallet handle has some minor warping, but it is very solid, not cracked with years of life still left in it, and the handle is even nicer! A nice style of mallet for carving fine detail, and or small size carving chisels. |
