Manufacturer: T & R Boote
This 6 1/2" round tea tile was done by the firm of T & R Boote, England, circa 1880. The seen depicts, and is titled, "Mr. Pickwick's introduction to Sam Weller". The scene was from a story by Charles Dickens - and was based on an engraving by "E. M" published in April of 1836. This is transfer printed in brown on buff. Attractive version of an egg and dart border surrounds the scene. In very nice condition. (#T-1095)
