Manufacturer: Mosaic Tile Company
Great decorative vintage tile made by the Mosaic Tile Company, of Zanesville, Ohio, circa 1950's. This depicts Shylock - who was a character in Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice". Done in the wax resist method, this has a very pale pinkish tone to the background and a self framing edge - measures 6" square. There are 3 deep crazing lines (top, bottom and right side). These do not appear to be hairlines - however it's hard to definitely tell. (#3116)
