Lovely pair of deer figurines from Stewart B. McCulloch a California potter. The deer with the turned head has had the neck and ear repaired. The taller has had the tail repaired. Normally I would not sell them here but the set is rare and the repairs are not so noticeable as to distract from the sleek lines of this artist. The stylings of this artist use very slender renderings of his subjects with graceful curves and form. They are quite beautiful to see in person. Tallest stands 11 ¼" tall. |
