Made by Duncan & Sons, c. 1878. 8" high to top of finial x 6 3/8"w. to outer rim. This piece looks great at first glance, however there are problems as follows; scratch marks on one section of the bowl, a small surface flake on one of the small scallops, a 1/8" d. and a ¼" d. chip on opposing sides of the bottom round of the stem on which the finial fits. It just boggles my mind to dream up how the chips at the bottom of the stem occurred. (S191)
