Royal Bayreuth figural Watermelon Creamer. Porcelain. Bavaria. c. 1902. Truly wonderful and very hard to find. Figural creamer/pitcher in the form of a watermelon. Green, white & pinkish leaves at the top form the spout. Other leaves surround the opening. The interior is tinted pink at the spout & around the top edge. The handle is its green stem. The body of the watermelon is striped in shades of green. Pictured on p. 59 (#448) of "Royal Bayreuth - A Collector’s Guide" by Mary J. Caslin. Measures approximately 4" tall. Just marvelous. CONDITION: Excellent. Quite rare! |
