Manufacturer: Colombia Glass Ornaments
These are 2 vintage glass Christmas ornaments in the shape of fruit, one is a strawberry and the other a bunch of grapes. Both are marked Colombia on the gold-colored metal caps. They came out of the same home. There is no other manufacturer marking.
The strawberry is bright red with a large green leaf, having a dot mottled form for the red fruit part and formed lines/veins on the leaf. This measures about 2 1/4 inches in length to the cap, 2 1/2 inches in length with the hanging ring, 1 3/4 inches greatest width and 1 1/2 inches in depth.
The bunch of grapes is a very pretty light purple for the molded grape portion with a bright medium green for the leaves around the top. This measures about 2 1/2 inches length to the cap, 2 3/4 inches length with the hanging ring, 1 3/4 inches greatest width and 1 1/4 inches in depth.
We've provided 8 images to try and show from all angles and a close-up of the Colombia marking on one of the ornaments. The camera lighting creates white "hot spots" on the highly reflective surfaces. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.
Very nice overall condition with no chips, cracks, pieces missing. We need to note on the strawberry that there is a large spot on one side where the red coloring has worn away to show the silver glass underneath (you can see this in images 3 & 5 although it may not look silver in the images due to how the camera lighting reflects). There are also other spots on the red and green of this old ornament which show the silver, particularly in streaks on the leaf. The bunch of grapes has much less of this, only having a few spots where the silver glass is peeking through. But this is not unexpected for vintage ornaments that were used, and these still have a great shimmery look which would sparkle on any holiday tree.
