Condition:
This adorable jar has mild crazing.
From the making process, from the makers mold during the firing process, the clay is not completely smooth under the paint and glaze and gives the appearance of little dots that you can feel, all part of the making.
There is chips on both the rims of the head rim and the body rim.
On the bottom half of jar, at the side, at rim going down 1 1/2 inch, is a hairline crack. The crack can be seen and felt outside, but not inside the jar.
The cold paint, that was applied over the glaze is in good over all condition. The cold paint on many jars can easily be washed off by scrubbing to hard and some cleaners can make it wipe away in seconds. Best way to clean is with a damp cloth with just water.
