This is a very nice socket gouge chisel marked "C.E. JENNINGS N.Y.". This chisel was made in New York City New York U.S.A.. A very nice regular/medium sweep , in-channel sharpened gouge chisel. The steel is very clean, no rust, a nice polished finish and measures 9" long from the sharp cutting edge (in-channel) to the handle, and 13.5" long overall. The cutting edge is straight and sharp, but you may wish to hone that area a bit further. The handle also has a nice finish, no cracks, nice looking, very solid, very little wear. A top quality chisel that has lasted many years! |
