Vintage Trout Fish Planter Vase Nancy Pew GIftwares Co. Taiwan. Has the original gold foil bell shaped label and is impressed on the bottom with the bell logo and T4106.
No chips No cracks No crazing, one tiny paint flick on the tail, dot size. Very clean inside.
Circa late 1950s to circa early 1960s is my best guess.
I am not sure why, but Nancy Pew made pottery items in both Taiwan and Japan. This planter's label is definitely marked Taiwan. The bottom is not stamped Taiwan, yet I have seen other examples of this item stamped Japan. Just sharing.
Fantastic painted and glazed trout jumping out of water planter. Perfect for camp, man cave and cabin look. Awesome gift for the avid fisherman.
