This is a rare Firm-Joint Screw Adjusting Outside Calipers. It is marked L.S. STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. PAT. APRIL 16, 1901 on one side near the adjusting screw. We don't see many of these and this is our first for sale in this 6 inch size. The 6 inches is measure from the center of the joint to the tips. A period of around 120 years since manufactured this caliper is in very nice condition with no rust, no damage and very little wear. |
