Circa: 1965 Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Mid Century American Production
Three Mid Century appliqued and hand embroidered cotton muslin kitchen or dish towels. They feature Sunbonnet Sue or a Sunbonnet Baby doing her daily chores. They're labeled Iron Day, Wash Day, and Gardening Day. In addition to the colorful embroidery, the bonnet brims and dress ruffles have color coordinated appliqued cotton solids and calico prints.
The stitching is positioned in one corner of each towel and is skillfully done with no loose or pulled stitches. The towels are quite large, measuring about 32 by 36 inches and are clean and pressed (though not recently). There are no stains, spots, or other issues - they don't appear to have been used.
