These Copeland and Garrett saucers are claret coloured, with floral and gilt decoration. Additional back mark is 5219 with a V. They are in the old style hand-wired plate-hangers. Each saucer is 6 inches in diameter, and just under 1 inch high. Body-wise, they are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. The gilding over the maroon is very thick and rich, and the floral panels are enchanting in their detail. Some honourable wear to the claret background commensurate with the age of the saucers.
A Treen sewing clamp from the Victorian era, made of pale turned wood with a pin cushion top and a bracket attched to its side. The pin cushion has lost its stuffing, but otherwise this item is in very good condition. Measures about 7 inches high and 2 inches diameter. (18cm x 5cm.)

This would have been made in the 1930’s, and is in the typical colours of the era, dark apple green, cream, orange and pewter. It is decorated in Charlotte Rhead’s trademark tube lining, and is signed by her on the base. (See photos). In very good condition. It measures 14.5cm (5.3/4 inches) high and is 16.5cm (6.1/2 inches) wide handle to handle.
A beautiful antique sterling silver taper stick, in the Georgian style. It stands 11.5cm (4.1/2 inches) high and is 7cm (2.3/4 inches) square at the base. It has a well shaped base with classical decoration, and a turned and faceted stem. The hallmark is for the Edwardian period: Sheffield (England) 1902. There is an old professional repair to the stem, above the first knob. (See photo). A really lovely piece.
A Georgian period teacup and saucer with polychrome transfer chinoiserie decoration of two Oriental ladies with a male figure carrying a bouquet: "who is going to get the bouquet?". Hand painted highlight colours. The backstamp is a D. surrounded by decoration - probably the mark of Thomas Dimmock (Jnr) and Co, of the Staffordshire Potteries, England. The pottery operated from 1828 to 1859. This would have been made in the early period. The saucer is deeply dished with no indentation, and measures 14cm (5.1/2 inches) diameter and 2.8cm high (just over 1 inch). A 19th century trivet stand, made of iron with a shaped brass top - designed to slot over the iron fender of a Victorian or Georgian fire grate, it was for keeping pots or kettles warm near the fire. No chips or cracks - some clean age crazing as is normal with an earthenware body. A really great rack or wall plate.
A 19th century Victorian period oval miniature of a woman - water colour painted on card (I think) - could be oil, as there is a faint crackle glazing to the surface, indicating some form of thin varnish. The painting is mounted under glass in an oval brass surround set in purple velvet. This is then enclosed in a velvet hinged case. Case and mount generally in very good condition - there is a mark on the inside left fabric, and some general minor age wear. The painting has a few minor foxing spots - one to the nose, one to the left cheek - but is in good condition otherwise. The woman has a black hat or mob cap on her head, with brown hair peeping out from under it. She is wearing black dress - mourning? Whole outer case measures 14.3/4 inches (12cm) x 4 inches (10cm).
