This Canadian souvenir plate made by Meakin, measures 8 1/4", and features the Coat-of Arms of all the ten provinces. Colors are still truly bright, and there is some age crazing under the glaze. Price reflects condition.
This very substantial, showy, Silent Butler measures 7 5/8" x 5 1/4" and has a 5 1/4" handle. The handle and 1/4" thick cover are made from Bakelite that has aged into a rich, deep, butterscotch color that beautifully matches the golden bronze finish on the metal parts. It has a distinctly Deco design, and looks like it dates from the 40's or 50's. It's in excellent condition and the impressive lid is perfect.
This 4 piece set has 22kt gold trim featuring a very pretty floral design and is in mint condition with the paper label still intact. The 4" footed salt and pepper are the same style as "Floragold" with identical ivory colored plastic lids ( the lids alone recently sold on EBay for more than $35!! ). The set dates from the late 40's, or early 50's and would be a great shower or wedding gift for someone who loves vintage tableware. Please click on thumbnail for a close-up. Thanks.
This is one of the "Dime Line" 3-D paper ship models made by Reed & Associates of Chicago. The assembly sheet, which measures 20" x 7" is in absolutely mint, unpunched condition and even comes with an "errata" to the instructions for assembling the battleship model. The envelope it came in also has a great color lithograph of a battleship on it's front. The only distractions are edge tears on the "opening" end of the envelope. Great WW-II paper toy!
A unique souvenir cup and saucer from Shakespeare's hometown we believe to be made by Davenport. Images of "Anne Hathaway's Cottage", "Shakespeare's House From The West", and the "Stratford On Avon Church" are featured on the saucer, the church and the Bard's house on the inside of the cup. What really makes this item charming is the partial transfer that reads, "Manufactured for Mrs. Latimer's China Rooms, Stratford-on Avon" on the base of the cup. The only mark on the saucer is an impressed "D" under glaze. The set is in nice condition with no chips and one age crack on the cup. Both pieces retain most of their rim gold, and both have light crazing. Dating from the late 1800's when black and white Transferware was popular. This set is an absolute must if you collect Shakespeare or English teacups!!!! Price reflects condition.
For sale, a pair of fabulous, sterling silver, cigarette box holders by Napier. They measure 3 3/8" wide by 3" high excluding their 4 ball feet, have a very fine, graduated, linear DECO design engraved on both sides, and their ends are plain. Only one of the identical pair of holders is marked "NAPIER STERLING" on it's end and they each have "MTG" monogrammed on one side. They were used on the coffee table, dining table or bar, back when almost everyone smoked. Nick and Nora Charles would have loved them!
This puzzle is the "Journey of the Magi" by Sassetta, a rendering of the fine art painting from New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is # 90 of the "Masterpiece" puzzle series made by the J. Pressman Co.Inc. and is dated 1945. When assembled, the puzzle will measure 14" x 15 1/2". The puzzle is still in it's original, sealed, never opened box. The box does have some creasing on the sides where it was slightly squashed. Truly a wonderful collector's item... if you can resist opening it and putting it together!!

I believe the lion motif is an Middle Eastern symbol. The gold is a bit worn on the top of the holder otherwise in very good condition.

The todo's inside are colorful punch out tree ornaments, holiday games and mantle decorations with lots of pages to crayon, or color and paste. All are unplayed with. Overall the folder is in pretty good shape with some wear at the edges but no tears. Some of the pages have staple stains and some foxing on the lower center.
