This is a vintage stretch bracelet made of chunks of butterscotch bakelite. I tested all the pieces using Simichrome. There are three elongated square beads and five triangular beads. The largest bead measures 1-1/4 inches long and the other beads are 3/4 of an inch long. The bracelet has clear glass spacer beads and is strung on elastic. Two are carved plastic or celluloid with a red stone in the center surrounded by mosaic mother of pearl in gold. Two are carved irridescent black glass mourning buttons. Two are black plastic or celluloid beads wired to the setting and one is blue aurora borealis rhinestones set in silver metal. All of the buttons have shanks. This is an interesting antique or vintage tribal bracelet. It is made of either bone or horn connected by sterling silver hinges. There are rose cut garnet stones set in silver on each link of the bracelet and on the clasp. The garnets have been tested. Because the stones are rose cut, even though they are very dark red, they do have a sparkle to them, particularly in the sun light. There is also some red accenting on the bracelet. There are no markings on the bracelet so I am uncertain of its age but I did test the silver. I left the patina on the silver but did polish one area of the clasp and it cleans up beautifully. The bracelet is 8 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide. The garnets measure 5/8 of an inch long and 1/2 of an inch wide.
