Manufacturer: American antique
Turned from a single piece of American walnut to include the bulbous head, this attractive period beater measure approximately 15 inches in length and remains in nice condition yet with desirable evidence of age and originality. The head is lead weighted and retains its original milk paint finish. Much scarcer than standard drumsticks as these beaters were generally used singly rather than in pairs and were otherwise utilized in fewer number because the usual band of the day no more than one and rarely two base drums include in any single band. (see: Gettysburg Visitor’s Center Civil War Museum collection) As with all direct sales, we are pleased to offer a no questions asked three day inspection with refund of the purchase price upon return as purchased!
