This vintage double boiler or bain marie saucepan has a stainless steel lined copper bottom pot and lid. The insert pot is heavy ceramic. Both pots have sturdy cast brass handles. The interior pot has a 2 quart capacity to the rim. Overall height of the assembled double boiler is 6 inches to the rim edge of the lid. The inner pot is 5 inches deep by 6-3/4" diameter, the lower pan is 4 inches deep by 7-1/4 inches diameter across the bottom.

The inside bottom of the copper pan has a few minor shallow dings or bumps but nothing that would affect heat distribution - the pan does sit flat. The ceramic pot has no issues. The copper is clean and shiny with some normal light scuffing to the finish from cleaning, use, and storage. There are no country of origin or maker's marks.
