Anticus Antiques

Circa: Early 1900s
Condition: Used
Country of Origin: GB
Manufacturer: unknown
Two bottles, one open mustard, one open salt, one open pepper - all made curved to fit into the cruet stand. Initially I thought the stand would have been silver plated, and the plating has worn to the base metal - but there is no sign of any silver remaining at all, so it must have been made the way it is now, or has had the remains of the plating polished off.
The handle is reeded, very Regency in style, and there is an embossed pattern around the stand sides. It stands on four little cone feet. It measures 24 cm high and 12 cm diameter. Probably dates around early 1900s, but could be earlier. Where the handle joins the base, on both sides this has old small welds.(See images). Very good condition, very usable.
