Circa: 1950 to 1960
Manufacturer: Desert House Crafts DHC Tucson Arizona
This is an extremely unusual piece done by Desert House Crafts of Tucson, Arizona. The Dekalb flying ear of corn is depicted on a beautiful blue background. The tile measures 2 inches and the copper dish is 4.5 inches across. Not marked on the back, but this piece screams DHC / Desert House Crafts. This piece could of easily been done by the McKusicks near the end of their time at Desert House. The attention to the details on this small piece is reminiscent of Charmion McKusick's work. The copper has the original patina.
