Anticus Antiques

Circa: Early 20th Century
Condition: Used
Manufacturer: for "Hart of Wellington"
Small coiled wire corkscrew which fits inside a wooden tube. Tube has advertising printed on the outer - "The Hart of Wellington. 31-33-35 Willis St. For Fancy & Toilet Goods". The wood also has "Made in USA" printed in small letters. Item measures 9.2 cm long when put away. Corkscrew is in solid condition with just some surface rust to the steel. Would clean up well. The wooden tube has two splits, but so far quite sound. Lovely piece of Wellington, New Zealand, history. Very early 1900s.
The Hart of Wellington, owned by Messrs Hart, who were also Drapers and had the adjacent shop, occupied the site in Willis Street from 1916 for about 10 years.
