There is a small tear at the bottom of the back of the dust jacket that has been repaired with archival tape. The photographs in this book are wonderful.
Edward S. Curtis, played a major role in shaping the view of Indians as "noble savages," members of a vanishing race. His Herculean effort left us a comprehensive record of all of the important tribes in the United States.
