The interior of the Church Of St. Vital At Ravenna, Italy is wonderfully displayed in this 1852 lithograph. It is from Jules Gailhabaud's Denkmaler Der Baukunst Volmue II (Memorable Architecture of the Middle Ages). Engraving by Larbalestier from the original drawing by M. Isabelle. Print is on 19th Century, heavy white woven paper with some discoloration around the outer edges. There are many small stains throughout but detract little from the matted finished product. This print measures approx. 9" x 12" and is in Very Good condition. Matte sold separately.
A note on the source: Jules Gailhabaud compiled a large collection of architectural examples from around the world and published them in his 4 volume series Denkmaler Der Baukunst which were published during the mid 19th century. The lithographed prints were of the highest quality and represent the works of some of the greatest engravers of the day. Their attention to detail makes these originals some of the most sought after architectural prints. These prints will be the perfect compliment to your decor.
