This is a rare, patented, good looking, working patented combination pliers, mostly used for fence work. There is no visible patent dates or maker's name.  After doing some research, we found this rare tool was patented MAY 22, 1900 by MAXSON G. D. & L. C. and some of these combination tools were lightly stamp M. & M. Co. or Maxson & Maxson. The is a past owner's initials on one side near the pivot joint.  They measure 10.5" long overall x 2.0 wide x 2.25 across the pry bar section to the other side of the frame. It has a hammer, wire cutter, stretcher, fastener remover, plier flat face and round. The staple puller jaw tips have minor rounding or wear at the tips, but seem to be good to use on heavy duty staples.  Simply a nice handy tool, good design with a good tight hinge joint. There is some minor wear and pitting that won't effect the use of this tool. The pitting doesn't appear to be from rust as there is none on it. Early forging perhaps? Rust most likely would have effected the joint that works smooth and snug. A real nice tool overall!
