A Time Remembered

Circa: 1940's
Condition: Used
Manufacturer: Made in Germany
This long favored figural Cottage with Trees Christmas Ornament was made during the late 1940's in Germany according to my Christmas Through The Decades Book by Robert Brenner.
Following the war, the major part of the glass Christmas tree ornament industry found itself behind the Iron Cutain. The first shipments to the United States after the war came from East Germany Exporters including Cuno and Otto Dressel, Max Eckardt and Sons (owners of Shiny Brite, New York), Bermard Matthai, Elias Greiner Vetter Sohn, Bechmann, Steinheld, Kuhert and Egle.
The colors included on the silver ornament are a red roof, gold door and window and green trees.
In very good condition the neck of the ornament is discolored from age which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 1 5/8 inches wide.
An addition to any Vintage Christmas Tree Ornament Collection.
SH & Ins will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions feel free to contact me and thank you for looking.
