Special Orders No. 1

1. On Sunday, May 28th, the comrades of this Post will assemble at Post Headquarters, No. 3 Boylston Place, at 9:20 A.M., for the purpose of attending divine services at the Winthrop Street Methodist Church, Winthrop Street, Roxbury, Rev. Charles L. Goodell, Pastor. Comrades who do not find it convenient to assemble at Headquarters, can join the Post at the church, or at the Tremont House Car Station, where electric cars, furnished for their transportation, will leave at 9:45 A.M., prompt. Comrades will appear in full uniform, white gloves, G.A.R. badges, officers with side-arms. Comrades not having uniforms are urged to attend, wearing white gloves and G.A.R. badge.

2. On Tuesday, the 30th inst., (Memorial Day), the comrades of this Post will assemble at Post Headquarters, at 12:45 o'clock, P.M., in full uniform, with white gloves and G.A.R. badge. At 1:20 P.M., in battalion of two companies, with Naval Battalion Band, the Post will march to Boston and Maine R.R. Depot, Haymarket Square, via Boylston, Tremont, Hanover, Washington Streets and Haymarket Square, and take the train at 2 o'clock, P.M., for Malden; from thence march to Forest Dale Cemetery. At the cemetery, a memorial address will be delivered by Comrade Wm. H. Osborne, of this Post, after which the Memorial Day Service and the ceremony of decorating the graves of our deceased comrades will be performed. The Post will take the train at Oak Grove Depot to return at 5:15 o'clock, P.M.
