Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1920's-40's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Greenlee Rockford Illinois
This is a very nice, clean, sharp, and usable 8" wide blade, carpenter's draw knife marked, "ROCKFORD GREENLEE ILLINOIS U.S.A."  on the main beam with the oval logo. The mark was lightly struck and hard to see, some of the letters are not visiable.  This is a nicely made tool with well fastened wood handles that have the steel ferrules and steel end caps on the ends to contain the wood, plus a steel section of the knife goes through the center of each wood handle. The cutting edge is very sharp and ready to use, with plenty of stock left for future use also.  Note:  The blade has some grinder scuffs on the back side noted, doesn't effect use.   The cutting edge also has a few minor grinding swirls, can easily be touched up to suit your application.  No rust, no cracks, no pitting, no owner's names, hardwood handles are in very good condition overall a few minor scratches noted!  A very nice clean edge tool overall!
