This is 4 ½" tall, 3" diameter at the top, and has a 2 ¼" diameter at the base. This is impressed Kayserzinn 4277. Made of high gloss pewter, the central design is a shield with a crest in the center and a magnificent headed mythical creature above that. On the right side of the shield are three large flowing oak leaves. On the left, there are two oak leaves with acorns.
This German company was established in 1885, as J. P. Kayser & Sohn, and made wonderful Art Nouveau pewter wares - this dates around c. 1910. It is in generally nice condition. There is minor wear to the surface, and minimal amounts of shallow pitting of the metal. A lovely display piece. (#T1768)
