Mimbres quail tile made by Desert House Crafts.
I have seen a tremendous number of Desert House Crafts tiles and NONE in a frame as this.
The tile itself would date to the late 1940's.
I could not definitively say that the frame was made at Desert House, but it definitely mimics the known copper framed pieces.
The tile is 6 inches square and with the frame it is 9.25 inches square. One of the soldered corners of the frame is partially separated.
