Copperton Lane Antiques & Collectibles

This 1930s snapshot album was a souvenir of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The leather cover has a nice pyrography (wood burning) scene of an Indian chief on horseback. The album measures 7 by 5 inches.

The owners converted the photo album to a scrapbook. The first nine pages have hand made Christmas cards, dated from 1939 to 1942. One card, a cute bear with fabric ribbon bow, isn't shown. Five of the card pages are detached from the album, which is held together with leather lacing. The remaining 12 black pages are intact and blank. The artwork is very nice (both the pyrographic cover and the cards) and the album has no issues other than the detached five pages.
