A Time Remembered

Circa: 1992
Condition: Used
Manufacturer: Lenox China
This 1992 Santa, Pere Noel, is from Lenox's International Santas figurine collection and is marked: Pere Noel / Fine Porcelain / Lenox / 1992.
Walter Scott Lenox founded Lenox, Inc. in 1906. Despite his acute disability, he had become the sole proprietor of a ceramics company and achieved his goal of creating beautiful ivory-tinted porcelain. Upon his death in 1920, Mr. Lenox had created a china legacy that, even today, is renowned the world over for its fine craftsmanship and superior quality.
It portrays the French Santa wearing the traditional wooden shoes of the countryside and carrying a sack of toys over one shoulder which include a french horn and unicorn and holding his naughty and nice list in the other.
Made of fine porcelain bisque to show crisp detail, from the waves in his flowing white beard to the gathers on his striped sleeves. Hand painted in rich rose and gold with 24-karat gold accents.
In very good + condition without chips, cracks or fleabites he measures 9 1/2 inches tall, 7 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
An addition to any Lenox Christmas Figurine Collection.
SH & Ins will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions feel free to contact me and thank you for looking.
