Whimsical and wonderful scene on this round majolica tile - a big dog lies in his dog house and stares at a crow. His bowl is right there - did the crow try to steal his food? Probably German in origin, the back of this has a raised circular edge, allowing the tile to function as a trivet. Fully glazed on all sides and edges, this has a background color of pale cream and molded design in brown, green, gold, black and gray. The back edge shows minor edge wear, two shallow flakes, and another wear line. The front surface is excellent, still with its original shiny glaze. (#T-1407)
