Manufacturer: McConnell Roadrunner Dish
The McKusicks had the McConnells take over operations of Gila Pottery for a short while. This is one of their pieces of what would be a McKusick design. Without the experience of the McKusicks the piece is just not as crisp as most of the McKusicks work. There are glazing errors around the head and a few on the edges. Still it represents a historical aspect of the McKusicks and the Pottery. The plate measures 7-5/8 inches in diameter and is 7/8 inches high. The back is hand inscribed with McConnell's Gila Pottery Globe Arizona and contains a "symbol" and what appear to be 2 hills with an A and a G under each.
