Vintage brown onyx art pottery herb or strawberry jar. 99.9% sure it is McCoy Pottery and not Brush McCoy since the McCoy books show the same shape and state this jar wasn't marked. Both McCoy and Brush McCoy made the onxy glaze, but this shape is not shown in the BM books. Age est: 1920's. Rich blended glaze on it, all over crazing, thick, dry bottom rim. It stands almost 7 tall. It has one teensy fleaspeck on an edge of one of the holes; and some pits in the glaze. Nothing visually distracting, and very common on this old pottery. Has blue, brown, tan coloring. Great for herbs or sedum, or just display! This onyx pottery goes very well with both Mission - Arts and Crafts style, as well as contemporary furnishings.
