Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1920's-30's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Metro Tool Works Germany
This push drill is marked "METRO GERMANY" on the end cap of the handle, no other markings on it. It measures 9.5" long and is in nice shape with about 95% of the nickel plating intact, a some minor pitting in a few places, otherwise in very good shape with very little wear noted. There is a full set of 8 different drill points included, most are Germany made, a few YANKEE bits, but they are all in Good+ to new condition. Although we have seen similar from Germany, this is the first we have seen with the "METRO" trade mark on it! We do have part of the original box label, and it is in English, so we assume it was made for sale in the U.S.A. or England, most likely before WWII. A rare collectible tool!
