Silver and abalone pendant marked on the bale Alpaca Mexico. (Not Sterling). The pendant is 2 inches in diameter, and on one side what looks like a cat, all around the figure is abalone/mother of pearl in blues and pinks, I am not sure what the figure is on the other side. The piece is stunning, and I have worn it on a sterling collar.
Updated Information from a KIND Friend:-
the image is that of an Aztec Eagle Warrior. He is wearing a helmet that looks like an eagle head, which is adorned with feathers and usually an elaborate ear ornament. (It’s not a cat!!). You don’t picture the other side, so I can’t help there. Usually these 2-sided pendants have a figural on the "main" side and a tribal or pre-Hispanic design on the other. FYI—the Eagle warriors were among the elite of the Aztec army, which was very organized. You had to be a nobleman to become an Eagle warrior. They were like Special Forces. Hope this is helpful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
