Antique Tiles

Manufacturer: as described
Done in that outstanding bright blue to blue green color, that the English tile companies were so good at, this is a wonderful 8" square tile. Made by Minton Hollins and Co - England, circa 1890. Within the roundel is a bare breasted woman, holding onto a pail spilling water - in the background there is a ship and a sea creature between her feet. The word "WATER" give this tile its title theme. Only very minor edge roughness present. The glaze does have either some consistent pitted wear, or something on the surface. Only the edges remain with the shinyness of the majolica glaze. This still displays exceptionally well. (#T-1151-S)
