Pickers and Tiquers

New in Box Neiman Marcus Limited Edition Vintage Glamour Madame Alexander Doll. Originally $155 when available in 2008. These are no longer available in stores and were released as part of the Neiman Marcus 100 year anniversary celebration. She is approximately 10" tall. Fun details include high heeled shoes, crystal dangle earrings, the touch of pink at the waist and the long net train on the dress. My favorite part is that the shoes match the ones in the vintage advertisement picture so perfectly. Well known for its rich history of firsts in the field of fashion, Neiman Marcus began running national advertisements in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar magazines in 1934- the first retail establishment outside New York City to do so. This collectible Madame Alexander doll is second in a series of dolls modeled after vintage iconic Neiman Marcus advertisements; this one from an evening wear ad. In imitation of the model, the doll wears a black strapless sequined column dress with a side slit; the dress has a bustled train of black and white pleated tulle. Her brunette hair is swept up in an evening look with beautiful curls, which accent her pearl drop rhinestone earrings. She has similar black strappy pumps as well as long black gloves. She comes with a clear display stand. The original advertisement is imaged on the back of the inside of the box. The sequin spangled sheath was designed by Jo Copeland for Neiman's PATTULLO Collection. TO BE CLEAR: The word "Vintage" is part of the official name of the doll. It is a new doll with a copy of a vintage outfit on it. 13pdp0065
