Allie's Vintage Alley

Circa: 1940s to 1950s best guess
Condition: good used
Color: Black white red
Country of Origin: GB
Manufacturer: Norah Wellings
Norah Wellings Black African Doll 9 inch England.

She is fantastic in Velvet, with painted facial features, mohair wig, fingers are delineated with stitching. She has black felt shoes and one bottom has label marked made in England by Norah Wellings.

She is dressed in a red with white polka dot dress with a white apron and neckerchief. Very minimal fauxing on the white apron. The red is unremarkable, meaning not faded. Her hair could use some attention.

Note the picture showing the back of her head has a flash glare, there is nothing wrong with the back of her hair.

Her body is in unremarkable condition. The coloring is excellent. Her face has a few marks, one located by one cheek, one at the side of neck, just below her hair, one located below the opposite cheek and the other text to the eye. As you can see in pictures, these are minimal and does not take away from this sweet doll.

I cannot locate her name and best guess circa 1940s to 1950s.
