Anticus Antiques

Circa: Very early 1900s
Condition: Used
Manufacturer: Unknown
Edwardian 9 carat gold ring, with scrolled shoulders holding two tiny old mine-cut diamonds either side of an Australian opal. The oval stone is mounted on the diagonal, and has a pretty play of fire in the aqua/pink tones.
The opal has a chip to one side (see images). Because it is a solid opal, and therefore the same colours the whole way through, this is not really visible on casual observance. Very dainty pretty little ring, with a face measuring 8 mm by 12 mm. Ring fitting is UK/NZ size Q (USA size 8) with an internal diameter of 18.19 mm. It would date from circa 1910.
