This is a nice antique lamp base with a urn style cast iron (or similar metal) upper, and marble lower section, nicely weighted. It is 9.5" tall with floral, grape, tied bow, leaf fruit/vegetable basket and other designs. There is a wire exit hole in the bottom section of the metal base. There is a round cast logo plaque on the lower part of the urn shape that is marked "FABRICATION FRANCAISE PARIS MADE IN FRANCE". It appears to be from the early 1900's period, with very good cast detailing, but some minor casting flaws noted. The metal and marble are both in very good condition overall with no damage. The metal appears to have had some sort of brass or similar gold color finish on it at one time, much of it is still intact, makes it appear like tarnish brass finish. This base is 2.6 pounds. Unique!
