Lovely pair of vintage pierced earrings costume jewelry made by Napier Jewelry and marked with their name on the circular back pieces. Metal, gold-tone in color (not real gold), in the shape of pretty little roses or flowers. Largely round in shape with fluted petals, measuring about 7/16 inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch in depth (not including the post).

Excellent overall condition. To the "naked eye" these look terrific with no major flaws (no chips, breaks, etc.). When they are magnified on the computer screen in very large images you can see some expected use/age wear. These are older earrings which came out of a house so they were likely used. When shown many times bigger than in reality you can see some dirt/spotting/age wear, but there really isn't any wear you will see close-up in person on these that would get in the way of using these.

There are, however, two things we do need to point out. First, you will see in the images that the earring stem on one earring is not attached/cemented/glued directly in the center back but a bit off to the side. This is how these were found and likely how they were made. On both pieces you can see the glue holding the stem in place, as manufactured. Second, one of the back pieces fits only loosely onto the earring stem and does fall off. These are the original backs, but for whatever reason, one does not hold securely to the earring stem. We recommend that you might want to use other backs you already own to hold these securely when wearing, but we wanted to include these original backs since that is where you see the Napier brand name.
