The pert posture Cheshire smile and wildrose decoration of these hand painted glazed earthenware cats are typical of the Wemyss (pronounced Weems)
pottery which was so popular in Victorian times and is now much sought after by collectors.

From The Token House Suppliers of China, Glass and Fancy Goods to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth. Crackling of the glaze is a feature of Wemyss ware and makes each piece unique. 7 inches H
