Great Gift! Matted and ready to pop into a standard frame: 1930s patent document for a jar [Lucky Joe (Louis) Bank put out by Nash's Prepared Mustard, Nash-Underwood, Inc. Chicago...Design by Lysle E Adams. Joe Louis, one of the most famous boxers of all time, was also one of the most recognizable.

Some History from the Net: "What the hell" could have served as his personal credo. After leaving the army Joe became involved in a number of commerical ventures, nearly all failures. He lent his name to the Joe Louis Restaurant & Bar on 125th Street in Harlem, invested in a vocational training school in Chicago, and helped underwrite a Negro newspaper, the New York Age.All died quickly. He continued to pour tens of thousands of dollars into the similiarly doomed Rhumboogie Cafe.

In 1947 he began endorsing cigarettes...
