This vase or planter has a decoration of a row of leaves around the bottom third, and is marked on bottom: " Red Wing - U.S.A. 01403" and is rather mauve in color, but I believe was originally called cocoa brown and it measures 5 inches across the rim, 4 inches height, and has a base measurement of 4 inches across. No damage to note.
Red Wing Pottery of Red Wing, Minnesota, was a firm started in 1878. The company first made utilitarian pottery, including stoneware jugs and canning jars. In the 1920s art pottery was introduced, and the company closed in 1967.
