This lovely compote, or pedestal bowl is turquoise, with dark specks, this style was introduced in 1957 and stands 6 ¼ inches height, and is 8 inches across the top rim and the base is 4 inches across. The base is signed: " Red Wing U.S.A. – M 5008." No damage to note.
Red Wing Pottery of Red Wing, Minnesota, was a firm started in 1878. The company first made utilitarian pottery, including stoneware jugs and canning jars. In the 1920s art pottery was introduced, and the company closed in 1967.
